How to Add Ad-Free Hulu With a Disney Plus Bundle

It's easier than ever.

This Friday sees the premiere of The Mandalorian Season 2, and if you want to watch it, you're going to need a Disney+ subscription. If you don't yet have one, it's extremely simple to set yourself up on The Way and get all the Mandalorian goodness you crave. If you're already a Hulu subscriber, or want to bundle Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+, it's simpler now than ever. That includes adding the ad-free version of Hulu, or even the Hulu+Live TV upgrade.

If you're signing back up from a previously lapsed bundled account, the good news is the process has changed somewhat, but it's for the better. You no longer need to follow a set of steps to lock-in the ad-free Hulu subscription into your bundle. It's as easy as upgrading from your account page once you already have an account.

How Much Is the Disney+/Hulu Bundle?

Disney+ is $6.99 a month, and includes almost every Disney show and movie you can imagine, all available on-demand, and is the exclusive streaming home for future Disney movies.

If you want to add Hulu and ESPN+, the bundled deal is $12.99 a month, but that's for the ad-supported version of Hulu. The ad-free version will add $6 to the total, making ad-free Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundles $18.99 a month.

How Long Is the Disney Plus Free Trial?

The bad news is Disney+ discontinued its 7-day free trial earlier this year. If you want to watch The Mandalorian Season 2, you need to drop the $6.99 for a month's subscription. Check out our guide to when new episodes of The Mandalorian come out and budget accordingly.

Can I Upgrade my Hulu Account If I Subscribed Through the Disney Plus Bundle?

Yes! Previously, it wasn't possible to upgrade from the bundled package, but Hulu has since changed its program to allow you to upgrade to ad-free Hulu as an existing Disney+ bundle subscriber. Previously, Disney+ subscribers who then opted for the bundle were unable "to switch to a different Hulu plan or sign up for any add-ons." That's no longer the case, which means you can get ad-free Hulu and even add HBO Max if you're feeling up to it.

How to Sign Up for the Disney+ Bundle If You Already Have Hulu or ESPN+

It's extremely easy to get the bundle if you're already subscribed to one of the other services. Visit the Disney+ bundle sign-up page and use the same email address you use for your Hulu or ESPN+ account. That's it!

Disney+ will then credit you $5.99 for your existing Hulu account and "a credit against the bundle price in an amount equal to the effective monthly price of your existing subscription." If you're a monthly ESPN+ subscriber, that means you'll get credited an additional $4.99 a month too. The important thing is you sign up for Disney+ with the same email address as the other two. Do that, and your monthly bill will be reduced.

Should I Get the Bundle if I Don't Want ESPN+?

If you subscribe to Disney+ and Hulu separately, you're paying $12.98, so for literally just a penny more you can bundle it and get ESPN+. I'm a fan of ESPN+ for the simple fact it has Formula 1 racing, the entire 30 for 30 documentary series, and classic boxing matches like Ali vs. Frasier: The Thrilla in Manilla. It also gives you access to streaming UFC events and PPVs at a reduced cost, if that's your thing. I'm not going to change your mind if you have zero tolerance for all sports, but it's essentially the exact same price, so... why not sign up for the full bundle?

Where to Watch Disney+

If you've gone through the steps and now have ad-free Hulu with your Disney+ subscription, you're ready to watch it on basically anything with a screen. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but only slightly. Almost every modern smart 4K TV can run Disney+, or you can just watch it in-browser on your PC. You can also stream Disney+ on 4 different devices simultaneously, so if you have a large family, you're free to install the app and use your account across your household.
